STORY (A note from our importer)
Kenya Nyeri Rumukia Thunguri AA GrainPro is sourced from family owned farms organized around the Thunguri Factory (wet mill) in Nyeri County, Kenya. The Rumukia Farmers Co-operative Society manages the Thunguri Factory, which processes coffee from members who generally cultivate around 250 coffee trees on half-acre plots.

Thunguri, lies just over the border inside Kirinyaga county, a mile or so from the Nyeri border.
This coffee was grown by smallholders organized around the Thunguri factory, a member of Rumukia Farmers’ Cooperative Society, itself part of the larger Kenya Cooperative Coffee Exporters. Royal buys much of their coffee directly through the KCCE, a vast, farmer-owned network that ensures greater traceability and better profit margins for farmers than the traditional auction coffees.
